Dear Valued Customers and members of the Stehekin Valley,
We hope you are all doing well and have had a great holiday season!
2025 is shaping up to be a great year and we have some exciting news to announce to you.
The same ownership group of Reed Courtney and Brun Garfoot is acquiring the Stehekin
Ferry business, Back Country Travels. This transaction should be completed by mid-March
2025.
For the last four years, the Lake Chelan Boat Company and the Stehekin Ferry have been
running on schedules from both ends of the lake. This will not change. The schedule will
continue as normal until Winter Schedule. Full services and options will continue to be
provided for you.
The only changes you will see are when booking tickets online, they will be under the same
online booking system that the Lake Chelan Boat Company uses, only needing to call one
number or email for questions, and on occasion the boats will be interchanged. Websites
will be linked for easy transition, and some signage may be updated.
Both businesses are regulated by the State of Washington and these transactions take
some time to get through the process. Please check your email for future announcements
as we move forward and if you follow www.ladyofthelake.com or www.stehekinferry.com
you will see future updates as needed on the websites.
